Ep #70: My Real Estate Journey: Building a Career, Business & Balance

Sometimes the career that fits you best is the one you never expected to have. In this episode, I’m sharing a recent interview from The Balance Dilemma, where hosts Maura Carlin and Christy Derrico turned the microphones around and asked me about my own journey. We talk about the many career pivots that eventually led me to real estate and how each chapter prepared me for the business I have today.

From my first job at Vogue to starting businesses while raising my family, working in staffing, and eventually getting my real estate license in my 40s, my path was anything but linear. I share what it was really like to build a real estate business from scratch, why relationships and trust became so important to my success, and how experience and maturity shaped the kind of agent I wanted to be. We also talk about what clients really need from an agent beyond buying or selling a house.

This conversation is more personal than most episodes of Your Real Estate Connection in Westchester, and I hope it gives you a chance to get to know the story behind the work I do today.

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

  • How my career pivots eventually led me to real estate.
  • Why I chose to start a new career in my 40s and what those early years were really like.

  • Why trust, relationships, and referrals have been essential to building my business.
